Description

11 Back-to-Back Sofa Erosion Module

Interested in the movement of pebbles along the coastline of the English Channel and the inconsistency of their shape during their journey, Alexandre Labruyère transcribes their movement with his module
Erosion from the eponymous series. With this piece, he works with oak to reveal its soul and creates tension in the lines to convey the effects of time on the wood. The designer reveals the unique character of the material by working with its grain, producing a sculptural object anchored to the ground like a cliff.
The 11 Erosion module in oak is exclusive to the Anne Jacquemin Sablon gallery.

Production time between 10 and 12 weeks.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Alexandre Labruyère is a designer of contemporary furniture and decorative objects. Initially trained in industrial design, he then explored numerous fields of object design (transport, art direction,
luggage, etc.), which allowed him to expand his taste for materials and his skills in using them. After several years with a major sports manufacturing company, he trained
as a cabinetmaker in 2019 with GRETA at the École Boulle in Paris. This training now enables him to work with a wide range of materials using cabinetmaking techniques, allowing him to
give free rein to his philosophy.
In 2023, Alexandre Labruyère entered the National Furniture Collections with his Géridon Pétiole. He is the 2024 winner of the FD100 by French Design.
