Description

Erosion wall lamp

Interested in the movement of pebbles along the coast of the English Channel and the inconsistency of their shape during their journey. Alexandre Labruyère translates this reflection into the creation of a wall light from the Érosion series, which is part of the eponymous series. With this wall piece, he works with ash wood to reveal its soul. He creates tension in the lines to convey the effects of time on the wood. The designer reveals the unique character of the material by working with its grain and producing a sculptural object.

The Erosion wall lamp is exclusive to the Anne Jacquemin Sablon gallery.

Manufacturing time between 10 and 12 weeks.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Alexandre Labruyère is a designer of contemporary furniture and decorative objects. Initially trained in industrial design, he then explored numerous fields of object design (transportation, art direction, luggage, etc.). This allowed him to expand his taste for materials and his skills in using them. After several years working for a large sports equipment manufacturer, he trained as a cabinetmaker at the École Boulle in Paris in 2019. This training now enables him to work with a wide range of materials using cabinetmaking techniques, allowing him to give free rein to his philosophy.
In 2023 and 2026, Alexandre Labruyère entered the collections of the Mobilier National with his Géridon and then his Pétiole chair. He is the 2024 winner of the FD100 by French Design.
